If I nest sub-items under a page in my primary menu, clicking the parent item doesn't navigate to the associated page, but leaves the list of sub-items open.
Interestingly, clicking the parent item while in Live Preview mode works as expected. Right-clicking the parent item and opening in a new tab also works.
Is this intended behaviour? Is there a way to change it so that clicking the link actually opens the link instead of just leaving the sub-menu open?
Where should the custom JS be added? I've tried adding it to the Custom JS field in Youplay > Options > General > Main > Custom JS but it doesn't appear to have changed anything.
This works great for desktop but it doesn't seem to be supported for the mobile view with the slide-out menu. Is there anything extra I should do to support that?

To fix this you can add custom JS. Read more here - Make dropdown items links clickable

The best way - is add it to the child theme js file.
If you add it in options panel, you need to wrap this code to this function:

Great, it's all working now! Thanks again!

On mobile devices it works like a toggle button to show sub-items. You can try this solution for mobile dropdowns - Add top menu link inside dropdown on mobile devices
