i'm very impressed with your work, thank you. But I have one question: Where do I place the Items that I want to appear when clicking on the "Load More Items"-Button on the Portfolio-Page? Usually I look for the Live Preview-Sites Code, but the Button doesn't work there either.

For this functionality you need to add custom JS.
Perhaps this plugin could help you https://infinite-scroll.com/ as the portfolio uses Isotope plugin and they should be compatible.
