Manual way to update visual composer is not working (deleted it in admin plugins and reinstalled via appearance > install plugin). Still requiring an update for version 5.0.1. Also now the backend editor is missing from page creation. Still has classic and frontend though. Attempted to remove other plugins to see if there was a conflict but still does not show backend editor. Any insight on the conflict? Update on update?
Was able to update but still no backend editor. Seems to be an ongoing issue since WP 4.5 and VC 4.0.7, which has caused issues for other sites. None of the "fixes" have worked for me thus far. My site is currently WP 4.6.1 and now the updated 5.0.1 VC. Not sure what else to really do in order to fix it since talking to the support is moot since it came with a premium theme.
No errors and still a problem. Doesn't seem to be any one plugin causing the effect. Even turned them all off aside from the ones needed for the theme and it still wasn't working. Been using the buggy frontend choice more often now. I say it's buggy because a good portion of the time you can't see what you're adding even though I thought that was the whole point of the frontend. So it may be back to classic.
I'm sorry, I don't understand what the problem. I checked some things on your website, but nothing helps. Maybe WordPress installation is buggy or maybe hosting problem.

Hi, Joseph.
Just updated VC on our server to 5.0.1 version. Try to manually reinstall it again and check for the problem. Maybe in 5.0.1 it was fixed.

You can check Console for errors? http://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/8525/how-to-open-the-javascript-console-in-different-browsers
Also you can try to deactivate installed plugins one by one and check for Visual Composer editor. Maybe some of it conflicted.

Sorry, I can't repeat this problem on our servers
Maybe you can give me access to your WordPress dashboard and I'll take a look it.
